The title “One of Four”for our initiative comes from the statistically shocking figure that 1 out of every 4 women will be raped in college in the United States.

 

Tabula Rasa Dance Theater believes that dance has transformative powers.  We hope to develop the awareness and the skills needed to challenge abusers, victims, their acquaintances, and their families, and community leaders, to BREAK THE SILENCE and speak out about this  egregious problem that blights all cultures, all religions, all nationalities.

We hope to eradicate gender-based violence, inspire compassion for all victims of physical and psychological abuse, and build a more empathic society.
